What is My Creativity Blog?
My Creativity Blog is dedicated to covering the subjects of creativity, art, the artistic process and art education. I started out adding posts to this site two to three times a month, but as interest has grown, I have been posting articles 2 to 3 times a week. I hope to share inspiration and encouragement to anyone that has an interest in becoming more creative. I also plan to share experiences that really excite and motivate the artist in me.
Who is Terry Holliday?
The content of My Creativity Blog is produced by Terry Holliday, artist and art teacher. Terry has been exhibiting her watercolors and winning awards since 1985. Her works have sold to numerous private and public collectors.
Terry has spent 12 years teaching art at the secondary level and currently is an art teacher at Navasota High School. She resides in Plantersville, Texas. Other creative ventures she is involved with are producing art videos for children, writing for Art For Homeschool, and sponsoring an online art show for homeschool students.
Terry finds herself constantly inspired by the beauty of her surroundings. Terry’s work can be seen and purchased at her website, Watercolors By Terry. Terry’s other interests are gardening, reading, web design, jewelry making, genealogy, yoga, reiki and whatever else happens to catch her attention.
Who else is writing for My Creativity Blog?
Lara DeHaven will be writing additional articles for the blog. Lara is a Spanish teacher, with an English major from Texas A& M University. Lara is currently home-schooling her three oldest children of 5. Lara lives on a cattle ranch in Texas. She raises free-range chickens and milk goats, helps her husband with many different types of ranch chores, and taxis her children to extra activities such as music lessons, dance, riding lessons and 4-H.
With 5 children and all the activities and jobs to do, Lara has become very creative. She will be sharing her experiences and ways to get by in this time of economic strain, as well as sharing about homeschooling, parenting and whatever comes to mind. Lara runs her own website dedicated to living self-sufficiently called Texas Homesteader. She is an author for Welcome to the Ranch and the editor of Cross Creek Horsemanship. Her book Texas Homesteader Wheat-Free Cookbook is now published and available in print.
Amy Chokshi will be contributing to My Creativity Blog as well. Amy is a water fountain artist. She enjoys designing creative water features for indoors and gardens. Amy has a backyard garden in which she plants herbs and vegetables to create a healthy and balanced lifestyle for herself and her family. She uses fountain design as her creative outlet while pursuing education in business and entrepreneurship. To learn more about Amy and her fountain designs, visit Tabletop Fountain store.
