Creativity Devotional – Floating Clouds

Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.

Rabindranath Tagore

The quote above is the perfect example of taking something that might be construed as undesirable such as a cloudy day and changing it to something positive. We all have clouds that float into our lives from time to time. If we take time to see the reflection in the clouds we may receive a jewel such as the wonderful brilliance of color in a sunset.

Our day to day living depends on how we react to those clouds. Do we fear the clouds or embrace them? Or do we study the clouds so that we might appreciate them and see the beauty in them? Or maybe we ignore the clouds completely pretending that they aren’t there.

What exactly does this have to do with creativity? That depends on you. This quote will apply to each of you in a different manner. Are you having a stormy time with your creativity? Can you appreciate the lessons you learn as you make it through those cloudy days?

If this connects with you in any way, please leave a comment. We can learn so much from your experiences. Please share.

You are such an awesome God! I love you! I love the blessings you give us each day. I appreciate the clouds in my life. I appreciate how each day my creativity is a little different. I appreciate the storms and then the peace afterwards. Please send your blessings to all that read this devotional. Please give us a better understanding of our creativity and the ability to better our work. Help us see the colors in the clouds. Thank you for this day we have to create for you.

Through Christ,
