Dreaming

Our dreams are firsthand creations, rather than residues of waking life.
We have the capacity for infinite creativity; at least while dreaming,

Thought:

I searched for quotes on creativity this morning and ran across the jewel above by Jackie Gleason.  The quote is powerful and uplifting.  It gives one hope. I especially like the part about having the capacity for infinite creativity.

Does your creative well ever run dry?  I think some artists go through times of creative lack.  Some artists become blocked in their creativity. That is why there are so many books, videos, and tapes on getting your creativity back. That is why there are so many creativity coaches and creativity workshops.

Is the capacity for creativity really infinite?

Sometimes we forget where our creativity comes from. We forget that it comes from God. God blesses us with a creative mind. He blesses us with dreams.  He gives us a direct connection with his Spirit.  What do we have to do to receive this creativity?  We have to remember to reach out to Him, to ask for help. Working with God on our team gives us infinite possibilities.

Holy God:

You are the Greatest of Great! You are the Highest of High! I am in awe at your creation.  I pray today for a closer connection with You and Your Holy Spirit. I pray for dreams.  I pray for a flow of infinite creative energy.I pray for the ability to feel this energy so that I might use it in a way that will make You proud. I am your servant always. I ask this in Christ’s name. Amen.
